Program Description:
The Delta Health Alliance Head Start / Early Head Start Childcare Partnership is an early learning program serving income eligible children and families in Sunflower County, Mississippi. Programming promotes school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children through quality educational, health, nutritional, and other social services to enrolled children and families. Head Start engages parents in their children’s learning and supports parents in making progress toward their educational, literacy, and employment goals.
Expanded significantly in the fall of 2019, SC-CCP now has 11 locations across Sunflower County. Several of our childcare centers are recently renovated, and all are staffed with trained education professionals. SC-CCP provides comprehensive and continuous preschool education and other services to eligible children ages birth to five and pregnant women.
